"We travel not just to go,
we travel to evolve. Embracing new experiences, endlessly changing horizons, and each brand new day as a way of living. We live for airports, planes, buses, boats, trains, road trips. We find clarity in the blur of the places zooming past us as we look through the window. This is our home. This will always be our home." ... this was just the beginning of the beginning 3 months have now passed since I started my Flight Attendant course, which means that my probation period is finally over and I am officially an F/A 1 (Flight Attendant 1 is the designation for the qualification of business class aswell as economy class service on shorthaul flights and economy class service on longhaul flights). Now I will be travelling fulltime and improving my knowledge in practice. After 9-12 months, hopefully if everything goes well as until now, I will go back to school to prepare myself for the business class service on longhaul flights, subsequently getting my F/A 2 qualification. With this qualification it´s possible to work as Freelance F/A, which is a great option for students. I am planning to work for 2 years until I become an F/A 2, such that I can work as freelance while studying at University.
But let´s see what the future has reserved for me... :) Almost 4 months have passed and it feels like it was just yesterday that I had my first course day. Time rushes literally when I am flying. So many things have happened, beautiful memories come to my mind when looking back to the past few weeks... Salut tout le monde!
I hope you are all well and enjoying the Christmas feeling that's in the air! I love it, it's my favourite time of year! And Montreal, where I have been to on my last longhaul flight, was totally in Christmas mood aswell. The street lights, the decoration, the music, the shops, and the weather! It was freezing cold and we even expected snow. This time my hotel room was on the 19th floor and the first thing that took my breath away was not the altitude nor the uncountable stairs (obviously I took the elevator ), it was the view form my window! Because in the other room I stayed in last time the huge building opposite the hotel covered the sight. Now I had a beautiful view over the Charles River and even spotted the Bunker Hill monument, which is part of the "Freedom trail". Delighted, I fell asleep looking out into the night, and in the morning the sunlight slowly illuminated my room, waking me up. I started my day swimming in the pool of the hotel. Later on I met my colleagues Lena, Aissai and Laura for breakfast and to go for a walk. Since this was my second time in Boston I already had an idea what I would like to visit, so I suggested going to Faneuil Hall.
So here listed are the places we stepped by: It was 9:50am on Sunday morning in Zürich, 12 degrees Celsius and the sun was hidden behind dense grey clouds as my crew and I entered our "Juliet Hotel Lima", Airbus 333. And after a turbulent flight with a blocktime of 9 hours and 45 minutes, I realised right away that we were stepping out into a completely different "world". It was 2pm and 30 degrees Celsius, the heat was intense, almost unbearable but soothing aswell like a Sauna, and the sun was finally shining.

I'd rather have a passport full of stamps than a house full of stuff. Forever a discoverer
The bad news is time flies. Go check out the amazing photography website of my friend Nicole, who is also a flight attendant!
